Veggie of the Week

For he’s a jolly good fennel, for he’s a jolly good fennel! (Can you tell we are going slightly round the twist as the season winds down!?) Fennel is reclaiming its throne as the veggie of the week. We’ve been experimenting, and the results are both delicious and, admittedly, some fennel-fails (like a fennel soup mishap… our five-year-olds face was a picture). However, the true gem in our fennel adventures has been this Fennel Gratin – easy to make and utterly delicious. We’re thrilled to have had a successful fennel crop this year, especially after the last two years of failures, sadly we only have enough for this week and next so…. 🎶 It’s the fennel countdown 🎶…. (Sorry)

Looking Ahead

Excitingly over the next few months, we’re planning on upgrading our site with brand-new irrigation, repurposing our third polytunnel for growing and we are hopeful to be able to raise a structure for packing. These improvements are crucial as we expand, aiming to provide more box options, and more variety of fruit and veg. Please help us spread the word – our goal for 2024 is to grow more veggies and see more people on our island enjoying fresh, organically grown produce. We Your support is SO appreciated! As a vital part of our CSA community, your feedback matters. Please share your ideas with us, whether it’s about what you love or areas we can improve. This farm is a shared endeavor, and your input shapes it just as much as ours!
